Christmas Box

Hi Everyone

I have been surfing the web and decided I would enter a few more competitions. I really loved this one from Studio 75

The competition called for box made with love

This box is one I made for a friend for Christmas, the person who was lucky enough to receive this box loves flowers and especially Christmas flowers and everything Christmas.

The paper I used is a discontinued one from Kaiser Craft and the flower are all handmade. Please come back again or register for my updates as I will be starting my new venture where I will be showing you how new techniques or how to make these pretty flowers.

I have used embossing powder on the trees and then layered it all with some special sentiment words to finish of the box.

Around the sides of the box are rows of pearls.

I hope you all like this lovely little box - I gave it to a friend with a special Christmas gift inside.

My Journal - 2019

Hi everyone

This is just a quick blog to show you the lovely page I created for the More Than Word Challenge for January.

First of all I wasn’t sure what I was going to do to showcase my work and to represent ‘Goals and Journaling’ and then I remembered that on my last retreat my dear friends Dina and Ronny showed me their Journals and all the beautiful different techniques they had used in the Journal. I then purchased one and put it on the shelf . . . . Where it stayed until this challenged popped up

So I have decided to start the new year off by entering this challenge and using the journal to track each challenge I enter. So watch this space as over the months I will be using different techniques in the upcoming challenges.

Happy New Year

Welcome everyone to 2019 - wishing everyone a very Happy New Year and may 2019 bring everything you desire.

I am using this post as a trial as I am trying to link my Facebook and Twitter pages to this Blog and I am hoping this may work.

ALL ABOUT ME

Hi I am Glenda Jones and I live in Brisbane’s western suburbs close to the beautiful Brisbane River in Australia. Thanks to my Mum I was encouraged as a child to create things, first through knitting at the age of five and then moving onto art pieces, sewing, embroidery and smocking. I come from a long line of wonderful women who passed down their craft knowledge and skills. I love finding out how to make something new and am always looking for interesting and different activities to learn and start making. I started scrapbooking over 10 years ago first through putting together my three children’s Life books and then moving on to making cards for all occasions. I have now expanded into off-the page items using different mediums from painting, hand embroidery, sewing, beading and love to create fun projects out of paper each and every day. I am passionate about the work that I do and have been known to often be up in the early hours of the morning just to get something right or complete a piece that I am working on.
